The archives on Ghost Whisperer

Ok, I'll admit- Friday nights, I have a hard time making myself do school work, so I have subsequently become a Ghost Whisperer addict. On the last couple of episodes, the "town archives" have been featured, much to my amusment. The archives are literally staffed by a couple of ghosts. They are apparently highly concerned with light degradation, since the lights are off all of the time, although they are pretty lax on security- the stacks are open, and Jennifer Love Hewitt just strolls right through. There are some boxes, tons of loose paper, nothing in acid free boxes or folders (tsk tsk!). The ghost archivists are extremely unhelpful, they offer no finding aids, and generally tell her to get lost and mind her own business. Last week, one of the archivists got violent with her. Oh, and Jennifer Love Hewitt pronounces "archivist" like "archive-ist."
